Conclusion : All made progress. Jonathan and Kenneth will collaborate to add a function to organize stock data by date internally. Ryan will continue with the GUI. Zackary is finished with the website template but is having publishing issues which will be addressed later. Next meeting will be Tuesday November 10th, 2015 at 16:00 in 218.

Discussion : Jonathan made a code that takes CSV data and converts it to code-workable data. Travis finished the team logos and made a code that converts from any string format to our defined format for future conversion to a CSV file. Kenneth showed us the mock data that was collected in two different formats. Ryan described a sketch of the GUI he has made so far.
Conclusion : Everyone was satisfied with the work made so far by all parties.

Conclusion : Jonathan will begin working on code that orders the data from highest to worst in separate categories. (Such as daily high, low, and volume) Travis will finish working on his code to convert inputted data into CSV format. Discussion : Wrap-up from Thursday’s meeting with Dr. Chueh.
Conclusion : Team was able to ask questions and confer with each other about project expectations.

Discussion : Mode of Meeting Strategies/Scheduling and how workloads will be assigned. Initial planning of what to work on for initial prototype and methods of data input/output.
Conclusion : Meetings will be held no less than bi-weekly (schedules permitting). Hope to meet with Dr. Chueh weekly and Kenneth will maintain non-scheduled communication with her. Allowance of multiple source importing through scripting function, where the end-result storage data will be in string format via CSV files: [Symbol][Company Name][Stock Index][(Daily Open, Daily High, Daily Low, Daily Close)…]. Java will be used for entirety of project. Ryan will introduce a rough GUI sketch by next meeting. Jonathan will compile demo data for initial prototyping. Kenneth will develop a function to convert from the supplied demo data to CSV format.

Discussion : Client Briefing: CSTEP expansion to connect/call real-time database of stocks/indices performance for algorithms testing and formulating. This one has potential to be used in investment portfolio or stocks indices making. I am in contact with potential companies who may sponsor the database for academic research. An alternative is to API with the Yahoo or Bloomberg websites.
Dr. Yvonne Chueh is the Director of the Actuarial Science Program and a professor at CWU. She provides the CSTEP (Cluster-Distance Sampling for Tail Estimation of Probability) Software, which is available on her website: http://www.cwu.edu/~chueh/.
